How to Apply ?
- Paper applications must submitted only in the prescribed format (Annexure-I).
- For detailed instructions on how to fill out and submit the application form, refer to Annexure-II A for postal applications and Annexure-II B for online applications.
Admission To The Examination :
- All eligible candidates who apply by the closing date will assigned roll numbers.
- Roll numbers will communicated to candidates or posted on the website of the concerned Regional Office at least two weeks before the examination date.
- Candidates must include their roll number, name, date of birth, and examination name in any communication with the Commission. Communications lacking these details will not entertained.
- Admission Certificates (ACs) with examination timetable and venue details will issued approximately three weeks before the examination date.
- If a candidate does not receive their AC or cannot download it from the Regional Office website one week before the examination, they must immediately contact the concerned Regional / Sub Regional Office with proof of application submission.
- For applications submitted by post, the post-office date-stamp should clear and legible.
- Failure to contact the office will result in no consideration for claims.
- Candidates can also download ACs from the Regional / Sub Regional Offices’ websites at least one week before the examination.
- Online applicants unable to download or receive their ACs one week before the examination should contact the Regional Office with details like Registration ID, Transaction ID of SBI, copy of challan, etc.
- Details of any deficiencies in online applications will available on the Commission’s website (ssc.nic.in) about two weeks before the examination.
- Candidates must carry at least one photo-bearing identity proof (Driving License, Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, College / University ID Card, Income Tax PAN) to the examination. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the examination.
MODE OF PAYMENT:
- Fee Payable: ₹100 (Rupees One Hundred only) for each application.
- Fee Exemption: Applicable for all women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and eligible Ex-Servicemen.
Eligibility Criteria :
Nationality / Citizenship :
A candidate must either:
- (a) A citizen of India, or
- (b) A subject of Nepal, or
- (c) A subject of Bhutan, or
- (d) A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- (e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries ( Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania—formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit :
18-25 years as on 01.01.2025 (i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1999 and not later than 01.01.2006).
Educational Qualification :
- Must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognised Board.
- Candidates who have not acquired the required educational qualification by the closing date of receipt of application will not eligible to apply.

Mode of Selection :
- Candidates are shortlisted for Paper-II based on their performance in Paper-I.
- Paper-II is of qualifying nature only.
- Candidates qualifying in Paper-II will considered for final selection based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to meeting qualifying standards.
- Cut-offs for Paper-I and qualifying marks for Paper-II will determined by the Commission and may vary for each State/UT.
- SC, ST, OBC, and PH candidates selected on their own merit without relaxed standards will not adjusted against reserved vacancies.
- Reserved vacancies will filled separately from eligible SC, ST, OBC, and PH candidates who are lower in merit but otherwise suitable for appointment.
- Physically Handicapped (OH/VH) candidates qualifying on relaxed standards will counted against reserved vacancies.
- Ex-Servicemen can deduct military service from their age, permissible against both reserved and unreserved posts.
- Success in the examination does not guarantee appointment; suitability for the position will verified through necessary inquiries.
- The Commission will maintain a reserve list for each State/UT, valid for one year from the date of result declaration or the next recruitment notice.
