Bihar Udyami Yojana 2024-25: -The Industries Department of the Government of Bihar runs the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana, which aims to provide employment loans to the residents of Bihar. This initiative facilitates direct loans annually for setting up new industries. Commonly known as the Chief Minister’s Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Most Backward Classes / Women / Young Entrepreneurs Scheme, it provides loans up to Rs 10 lakh with a subsidy of up to 50 per cent by the Industries Department

What is Bihar Udyami Yojana 2024 ?

Bihar Udyami Yojana 2024, launched by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, aims to promote the establishment of new enterprises within the state. The scheme, which is also recognised as the Chief Minister’s Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Most Backward Classes / Women / Young Entrepreneurs Scheme, facilitates loans up to Rs 10 lakh with 50% subsidy, effectively getting a rebate of Rs 5 lakh.

Apart from this, beyond financial assistance, the government also gives many other facilities to the youth. Notably, many youths availed these benefits through the Bihar Udyami Yojana last year. Both male and female entrepreneurs from SC / ST / OBC / Women / Youth categories are eligible to apply for assistance under the Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurship Scheme.

Who is eligible for the Bihar Entrepreneurship Scheme 2024 ?

The Department of Industries has outlined the specific eligibility criteria for those seeking benefits under Bihar Udyami Yojana 2024. To eligible for the Bihar Udyami Yojana, applicants must meet these qualifications. Only those who meet the following criteria can take advantage of the scheme :

1. The applicant must a permanent resident of Bihar.
2. Priority is given to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, unemployed youth and women.
3. Applicants must have at least a high school diploma, ITI or equivalent.
4. The minimum age requirement is 18 years, and the maximum is 50 years.
5. The applicant must have a personal current account (or a current account in the name of the firm), where the sanctioned amount will remitted through RTGS.
6. For ownership, the personal PAN of the firm entrepreneur is required.
7. The current account should in the name of the proposed firm.
8. Applicants must establish and register their own firm or company. Options include ownership, partnership, or private limited company structures.

Benefits of Bihar Chief Minister Udyami Yojana :

In Bihar Udyami Yojana 2024, in line with the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Policy 2016, special benefits are provided for setting up new industries. Under this scheme, loans up to a maximum of Rs 10,00,000 are provided with special incentives. Grant of 50% of the sanctioned amount, limited to Rs. 5,00,000.

Further, the local girls are entitled to a unique provision wherein they have to repay only 50% of the total project cost per unit with a maximum interest free loan of Rs. 5,00,000, payable in 7 years in 84 equal installments.

Bihar Entrepreneurship Scheme 2024 Selection Process :

The beneficiaries under the Bihar Udyami Yojana last year selected by the Bihar government through a random lottery system and given the benefit. It speculated that this time also the Bihar government will select the beneficiaries through the lottery system. The applications are screened by the Screening Committee within 15 days and then forwarded to the District Industries Centre for physical verification.
