CBSE Class 12 Syllabus :

The CBSE Class 12 Syllabus for the academic year 2024-25 encompasses the comprehensive outline of subjects covered in CBSE Class 12 Examinations. It comprises various domains, including Science, Mathematics, Humanities, Languages, Skill Subjects, General Studies, and Health and Physical Education. The Board is implementing Competency Based Education as per the National Education Policy, 2020.

Classes IX-X – Academic Session 2023-24 :

50% of the question paper comprised competency-focused questions, including MCQs, Case Based Questions, Source-based Integrated Questions, or other types.
20% of the questions were select response type questions (MCQs).
The remaining 30% consisted of constructed response questions (Short Answer/Long Answer Type Questions) as per the existing pattern.

Classes IX-X – Academic Session 2024-25 :

No change from the previous academic session.
The question paper composition remains the same, with 50% competency-focused questions, 20% select response type questions, and 30% constructed response questions.

Class XI-XII – Academic Session 2023-24 :

40% of the question paper comprised competency-focused questions, including MCQs, Case Based Questions, Source-based Integrated Questions, or other types.
20% of the questions were select response type questions (MCQs).
The remaining 40% consisted of constructed response questions (Short Answer Questions/Long Answer type Questions) as per the existing pattern.

Classes XI-XII -Academic Session 2024-25 :

There is a notable change in the academic session 2024-25.
The percentage of competency-focused questions has increased to 50%, while select response type questions remain at 20%.
However, the percentage of constructed response questions has decreased to 30%.
