NDA Na Admit Card 2024

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct an exam on the 1st Round of NDA exams on the 21st April, 2024, for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 153rd Course, and for the 115th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) starting from 2nd January, 2025. The NDA admit card 2024 has been released by UPSC on its official website, upsc.gov.in. Issued exclusively online, the NDA 1 2024 admit card is made available on April 12, 2024. Candidates can download the UPSC NDA admit card 2024 from upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. To access the admit card, candidates need to provide their registration number/roll number and date of birth.

How to apply for NDA Exam 2024 :

1. Online application: Candidates should apply online through the website upsconline.nic.in.

2. One Time Registration (OTR): Applicants need to register on the OTR platform available on the Commission’s website before filling the online application.

3. OTR registration once in a lifetime: OTR registration needs to done only once and can completed at any time throughout the year.

4. Already registered: If a candidate is already registered, they can proceed directly to filling the online application for the examination.

Modification in application form (Other than OTR Profile):

i. Correction window : Candidates can make corrections in any field of the application form from the day after the application window closes.

ii. Duration of correction window : The correction window will open for 7 days from the opening date.

iii. OTR profile changes : Any changes to the OTR profile during this period should made by logging into the OTR platform.

iv. Withdrawal of applications : Once submitted, candidates will not allowed to withdraw their applications.

v. Photo ID requirement : Candidates must have details of a valid photo ID such as Aadhar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, School Photo ID, or any other government-issued photo ID.

This photo ID details must provided during the online application process and the same ID card must uploaded with the application form. It will used for all future reference, and candidates are advised to carry it during the examination/SSB.

Admit Card issuance to NDA Exam Candidates :

Eligible candidates will receive an e-Admit Card seven days before the examination. The e-Admit Card can downloaded from the UPSC website (upsconline.nic.in). No Admit Card will sent by post. The NDA admit card 2024 has been released by UPSC on its official website, upsc.gov.in. The NDA 1 2024 admit card is made available on April 12, 2024. Candidates can download the UPSC NDA admit card 2024 from upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. To access the admit card, candidates need to provide their registration number/roll number and date of birth.

1. Go to the official website of UPSC – upsconline.nic.in.

2. Click on “E-Admit Cards for various Examinations of UPSC”.

3. Select the NDA 2024 admit card link.

4. A new page to download the NDA 1 admit card 2024 will be displayed on the screen.

5. To download the UPSC NDA 1 admit card, click on the “click here” button in the last column. The instructions page will be displayed on the screen. After reading the instructions, click on the “Yes” button and also take a printout of the important instructions page. The login page of UPSC NDA Admit Card 2024 will be displayed.

6. Candidates have the option to download the NDA 2024 admit card either by using the Registration ID or by using the roll number.

Important Instructions for NDA Exam Candidates :

Applicants must provide a valid and active email ID while filling the online application form, as the Commission may use electronic mode for communication.

Vacancies are subject to change based on the availability of training capacity at the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy.

Candidates must clearly indicate their preferences for the services they wish to considered for, ranking them from 1 to 4 in the Online Application Form. They are encouraged to list multiple preferences to ensure that their choices are taken into account based on their merit.

It’s essential to note that candidates will only considered for the services they express preferences for and no others. Requests for adding or changing preferences after application submission will not entertained.

The Commission has provided a window for applicants to make corrections to their application forms, which will open for 7 days. Any changes to the OTR profile during this period must done through the OTR platform and not through the Modification window.

Admission to the courses mentioned will based on the results of a written examination conducted by the Commission, followed by an intelligence and personality test conducted by the Services Selection Board for qualifying candidates.

Eligibility for NDA Exam 2024 :

1.  Nationality :

  • Candidates must unmarried and can citizens of India, subjects of Nepal, or individuals of Indian origin who have migrated from specific countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • Those falling under categories (ii) and (iii) need a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India, except for Gorkha subjects of Nepal who do not require it.

2. Age Limits, Sex, and Marital Status :

  • Only unmarried male/female candidates born between July 2, 2005, and July 1, 2008, are eligible.

3. Educational Qualifications :

  • For the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy, candidates should have passed the 12th class exam or its equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or University.
  • For the Air Force and Naval Wings of the National Defence Academy and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy, candidates should have passed the 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Candidates appearing in the 12th class exam can also apply.

4. Physical Standards :

  • Candidates must meet the physical standards specified for admission to the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2024.

5. Disqualification :

  • Candidates who have resigned or withdrawn from any Armed Forces training academy due to disciplinary reasons are not eligible to apply.

Results Announcement for NDA Exam 2024 :

  • The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will prepare a list of candidates who meet the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination.
    Qualified candidates will undergo an Intelligence and Personality Test conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
  • Candidates applying for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy will assessed on Officers Potentiality, while those applying for the Air Force will also have to qualify the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) if Air Force is one of their choices.

Document Submission for NDA Exam 2024 :

  • Candidates who qualify stage II will need to submit original certificates including Matriculation pass certificate or equivalent for date of birth and 10+2 pass certificate or equivalent for educational qualification.
  • Candidates appearing before the Services Selection Board do so at their own risk and cannot claim compensation for any injury sustained during the tests.

Qualifying Marks for NDA Exam 2024 :

  • Candidates for the Army/Navy/Naval Academy and Air Force must secure minimum qualifying marks separately in the written examination and Officer Potentiality Test.
  • Air Force candidates, along with all SSB qualified candidates, must also separately qualify the CPSS if they aspire for the flying branch.

Final Allocation/Selection for NDA Exam 2024 :

  1. Qualified candidates will placed in a combined list based on total marks secured in the Written Examination and the Services Selection Board Tests.
  2. Allocation/selection for admission to the Army, Navy, Air Force of the National Defence Academy, and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy will based on eligibility, medical fitness, and merit-cum-preference.
  3. Candidates eligible for multiple Services/Courses will considered based on their order of preferences, and once allocated to one Service/Course, they will not considered for admission to other remaining Services/Courses.

NDA Exam Scheme and Paper Pattern 2024 :

Section Details
Scheme of Examination 1. The written examination comprises two subjects: Mathematics and General Ability Test.
2. Each subject has a duration of 2½ hours.
3. Mathematics carries a maximum of 300 marks, while the General Ability Test carries a maximum of 600 marks.
4. The total marks for the written examination amount to 900.
SSB Test/Interview 1. The SSB Test/Interview also carries a maximum of 900 marks.
Exam Format 1. All question papers consist of objective type questions.
2. The question papers for Mathematics and Part “B” of General Ability Test are set bilingually in Hindi and English.
3. Questions involving the metric system of Weights and Measures are included where necessary.
4. Candidates must write their answers in their own handwriting, without the assistance of a scribe.
5. The Commission has the discretion to determine qualifying marks for any or all subjects.
6. Candidates are not allowed to use calculators or mathematical/logarithmic tables during the examination. Bringing such aids into the Examination Hall is prohibited.

Two-Stage Selection Procedure for NDA Exam 2024 :

Introduction of a two-stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test.
All candidates will undergo stage-one test at Selection Centres/Air Force Selection Boards/Naval Selection Boards on the first day of reporting.
Only candidates who qualify stage one will proceed to the second stage/remaining tests.

Physical and Mental Fitness Requirements:

  1. Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards and should physically and mentally fit.
  2. Medical fitness criteria provided are based on existing guidelines at the time of publication and are subject to revision.
  3. Many qualified candidates are rejected later on medical grounds, so candidates are advised to undergo medical examination before submitting their applications to avoid disappointment.

Commonly Found Defects/Ailments :

  1. Candidates are advised to rectify minor defects/ailments to expedite the finalization of the medical examination conducted at the Military Hospital after SSB recommendation.
  2. Some commonly found defects/ailments include wax in ears, deviated nasal septum, hydrocele/phimosis, overweight/underweight, under-sized chest, piles, gynaecomastia, tonsillitis, and varicocele.

Tattoo Policy :

  1. Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of the forearm and the reverse side of the palm/hand. Tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable.
  2. Tribal candidates with tattoo marks on the face or body as per their customs may permitted on a case-by-case basis.

Medical Treatment for Civilian Candidates :

  1. Civilian candidates appearing for commission in the Armed Forces are entitled to outpatient treatment from service sources at public expense for injuries or diseases sustained during the examination.
  2. Inpatient treatment is provided if the injury or disease is contracted during the examination and certain conditions are met.

Medical Procedure :

  1. Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.
  2. Only candidates declared fit by the Medical Board admitted to the academy.
  3. Proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential, and unfit candidates informed about the appeal process.

The Medical Standards and Procedure :

  1. Detailed medical standards and procedures for Army, Navy, and Air Force provided in Annexures A, B, and C, respectively. Also available on the respective websites.
  2. The Directorate General of Recruiting has no role in medical boards.  procedures advised by competent medical authorities followed strictly.

Medical Standards for Female Candidates :

  1. Female candidates undergo a detailed medical exam.
  2. A questionnaire collects menstrual and gynaecological history.
  3. A Lady Medical Officer or Gynecologist conducts the exam.
  4. Inspection includes genitalia, hernias, and breast abnormalities.
  5. Speculum exams skipped for unmarried females.
  6. Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis is mandatory.
  7. Certain conditions like severe menstrual issues lead to rejection.
  8. Other issues like ovarian cysts also considered.
